In todays lesson we had to watch through previous years work and comment on what made them good and what could be improved. This task inspired and helped me to begin piecing together some ideas for the music video I will be making the in the future. We then had to view real music videos to try and find most visually interesting and gripping video we could. I knew straight away what song and music video I wanted to show the class. My favourite music video is by "Panic! At The Disco" and the song is titled "This is Gospel" and I believe that it is one of the most creative music videos I have ever watched. I liked this video from the second I saw it due to the continuous shot that links to the next scene and costume design while telling a story:
I hope to use some shots like the ones shown in 'This is Gospel' in my own music video as I think it is effective and creative, keeping the audience gripped and creating something that the audience was not expecting to see, so that our video would be memorable.
